Programs » Forums

The Leadership Fellows Association hosts meetings with leaders to enable fellows to participate across classes in a continuing dialogue with the region's leaders.

While most of these forums are open to members and their guests only, the annual Albert C. Maule Urban Issues Forum is open to the public. This lecture series was created by the Friends of Albert C. Maule, an LGC Fellow, after his death in 1995. Albert Maule was the first African American to be named partner at Hopkin & Sutter, served Mayors Harold Washington, Eugene Sawyer and Richard Daley, was president of the Chicago Police Board, and Chaired the board of the Abraham Lincoln Center. The lecture series commemorates his contributions by focusing on topics important to his life.

Paul Igasaki "Since I participated in LGC in the 1980’s, I’ve been involved with leadership experiences in the legal, political, civil rights and Asian American environments. LGC is still the best of both local and national leadership experiences that I’ve had. I am drawing upon LGC’s lessons in building leadership programming in public interest law for my current position."

Paul Igasaki, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Equal Justice Works, LGC Class of ’88
